Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to purchases made on ActiveBook (the website at activebook.ai, operated by Linus Publications, Inc.). It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Digital content

ActiveBook sells digital books and learning materials. Access is granted to your account immediately after payment — there is nothing to ship, and purchased content appears in your library right away.

2. When we refund

You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. We will grant refunds for:

Duplicate purchases — you were charged twice, or bought content your account already owned;
Technical faults — a defect on our side prevents you from accessing or using the content, and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time;
Materially not as described — the content is substantially different from its store description.

Other requests within the 14-day window are considered case by case at our reasonable discretion — for example, we may decline a refund where the content has been substantially consumed. Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer-protection law of your country.

3. How to request a refund

Email support@activebook.ai from the email address on your account, and include your order number (shown on your receipt and in your order history) and a brief description of the problem. We aim to respond within a few business days.

4. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are processed by our team through Stripe to your original payment method. Once issued, the refund typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

5. Effect of a refund

When a purchase is refunded, access to the refunded content is removed from your account and from your devices.

6. Coupons, discounts, and free items

Refunds are always for the amount you actually paid. Items obtained free of charge are not refundable (there is nothing to refund), and coupon value is not redeemable for cash.

7. EU/UK customers — right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. For digital content this right ends once delivery has begun with your consent. At checkout you expressly consent to immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose the statutory right of withdrawal once access is granted. This Refund Policy applies instead, alongside any rights that cannot be waived.

8. Purchases in the apps

The ActiveBook reader apps (iOS, macOS, Android, Windows) do not sell content or offer in-app purchases. All purchases are made on the website, so this Policy covers every ActiveBook purchase. Nothing is ever billed through an app store.
